Speech and language therapy in Wezembeek-Oppem

Speech and language therapy treats disorders of language, speech, voice and swallowing. At the practice, care is for adults and older adults, for communication and speech disorders of neurological origin.

Margot Baudon

I hold a bachelor’s degree in speech and language therapy from the Haute École Léonard de Vinci, and I mainly see adults and older people with communication and speech disorders of neurological origin.

I attach great importance to the therapeutic relationship, to kindness and to each patient’s individuality. I listen to the person and to those around them in order to understand their needs, their difficulties and their goals, and to offer care suited to their daily life.

I train regularly in order to develop my skills and to stay informed of scientific and clinical advances in the field of neurological disorders. In 2026 I completed a course on dysarthria and apraxia of speech, given by Michaela Pernon, PhD.

Each course of care is adapted to the person’s abilities, needs and goals, in a gradual and supportive approach.

What we treat

  • Adults and older adults

Care is for adults and older adults, for communication and speech disorders of neurological origin: after a stroke, a head injury, or in the context of a neurological condition.

An initial assessment, then sessions adapted to the person's abilities, needs and goals. Those close to the patient are involved in the follow-up where that helps.

  • Aphasia

Supporting communication abilities, working on the difficulties encountered, and putting in place strategies that make everyday exchanges easier.

  • Dysarthria

A motor speech disorder linked to damage to the nervous system, after a stroke or in the context of certain neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease. Difficulties of articulation, rate or speech coordination.

Care personalised to each patient's difficulties, aiming in particular to improve the intelligibility of speech and to make everyday communication easier.

To have speech and language therapy sessions reimbursed by your health insurance fund for these neurological disorders, a prescription for a speech and language assessment and treatment, issued by a medical specialist, a neurologist in particular, is required.
